As Director of Safety & Human Resources at Waccamaw Transport since 2003, Michael meticulously helped create and implement effective programs that revitalized our entire safety culture from the senior management level down. The ensuing successes of his efforts enabled Waccamaw to be recognized for numerous industry safety awards in recent years.
Michael’s professional achievements include the special designation of Certified Director of Safety, through the North American Transportation Management Institute. This is a very selective distinction from a highly reputable organization committed to improving highway safety.
Michael is an active member of the North Carolina Trucking Association – Safety Management Council, and the North Carolina Petroleum and Convenience Marketer’s Association.
